I just bought a Little Guy (great timing for Michigan, huh?)

Postby Karl » Sun Nov 23, 2008 8:54 am

Hello one and all,
I am finally a Teardrop Trailer owner! I just bought a Little Guy 6'-wide with the Classics, Tailgating, and Spirit of America Graphics Packages (hopefully, my avatar will show it). :beautiful: I will be picking up my TD in a couple weeks from Little Guy in North Canton, Ohio. :P
Naturally, my friends and family are incredibly impressed by the timing of this purchase :laughter: considering that there is a light coating of snow on the ground this chilly, 10 degree morning here in Highland Township, Michigan (southeast corner of the state near Detroit). :DOH2: Oh well. I suppose I can always camp with it inside my garage until the weather warms up! <g> :snowstorm:
If there are any groups in my area for Little Guy owners or teardrop trailers in general, please pass along any contact info you may have. And, if any young (in their 40’s or 50’s), single, unattached (not detached) women have a TD that is longing to meet another TD, please feel free to contact me and we’ll see about getting our trailers together some day. <g> :shake hands:

Sven, Welcome, nice looking td. Post more pics please. As for the snow not ot worry you can still camp. I'm in NH and and a bit of a newbie myself. We're thinking of places we can haul her to this winter. Best of luck with the new purchase, Enjoy. Walt

Walt, Wally & Cathi,
Thanks for taking the time to send me a note. I signed up for the Tearjerkers forum and am waiting for the follow-up email from the administrator to activate my account. And, since I don't have any pics of me camping with my TD, I'll try to post some pics of camping here in beautiful Michigan in order to entice more people to vacation here (as if enticement is really needed!).
Thanks!

Mike,
Yes, Highland Township. Right by Milford High School. You are not too far away. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, you are about as far from me as I am from you. Whodathunk!
That picture of yours looks like my driveway when I grew up all the way back in the 60's and 70's before all us darn Republicans invented global warming and caused our winters to be much less snowy. :sweaty:

Bill and Marijo,
Thanks for the compliment. The graphics are a little over-the-top in some ways but at least with a patriotic theme, I suspect I won't take too much guff. Besides, we don't buy teardrops to blend in with the crowd...
If I could somehow borrow a matching vehicle like this Image
I would definitely do the world-famous Woodward Dream Cruise and let a million people (literally) here in Detroit see my new baby next August.

John,
I was looking at your pics. Wow! Must have been quite a project to build yours. That has to be extremely satisfying to have made something so cool. Nice job!

Welcome aboard! Love the patriotic graphic -- will be a huge hit in campgrounds. And the Red-White & Blue certainly makes it a conspicuous teardrop to steal....

I'm curious to hear how your 6-wide LG handles in snow, presuming you'll drive it in snow. Mine is tucked away for the winter.
