Welcome aboard Joe....just recently I posted about how you can get anything you want here in terms of answers, links, resources. It's the truth...I've been here 4 years and am always astounded at the info that is available. I think the most important thing is to have fun with your build and it'll be fun to use. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Doug

Welcome Joe,

I hear the price of steel has gone down a little. How about a little insight into where you get your steel and maybe how much $$$. I'm sure there are many out there that would be interested.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Steve your right, the steel prices have come down a good bit. Thats why I waited till now to start. A friend that works at a steel supplier gave me the heads up that the price was getting ready to drop. I priced 2x2 box tubing a month ago and it was $93 for a 24' stick. I paid $52 dollars for the same thing today. Now thats worth the wait! I also purched 20' of 4.1# 3" C channel for $35. I will have a total cost of $207 in steel for the frame. The axle I got was a 2200# torkflex for $179

I purchased The Steel localy at Barkhurst Construction - Weirton, WV.. The Axil wad purchased at a local RV dealer.
