Hello All,
I've been lurking for a few weeks. Great forum! DW and I are interested
in converting a cargo trailer into a lightweight "poor man's" toy hauler. We like the versatile nature of this type of trailer. We plan to make the camping accessories removable for furniture hauling, etc. We have a Chevy Trailblazer to tow with but are still looking for the trailer. Leaning toward a 5x10 or so cargo. Lots of great info here! I'll try not to ask questions that have been covered before. I haven't got the photo and avatar thing figured out just yet. I'll get an image up later on.

We're empty-nester grandparents in our early 50s. We like the teardrops, but getting down low to crawl just doesn't appeal to us. This played into our decision to go cargo conversion with some stand up room. Planning to keep it light and simple. We're both pretty good with general skills in woodworking, wiring and such. A friend of ours is a custom hot rod builder, so we have someone to assist with complex stuff and metalworking.

Good to be here and I hope we can make useful contributions to the discussions. Papahank

Welcome! Good luck with your cargo conversion! Just a FYI. You don't really crawl around in a Teardrop. You pretty much just sit down and then lay down like your do in your bed.

Hey welcome aboard. You would be surprised how little bending that you can do in a teardrop. My wife is 5'6" and needs a step stool to get into ours. There has been some neat conversions and I look forward to seeing what you do.
