Hi Everybody,

I have been browsing through this forum for the past few months and finally decided to join the group.

I have been fascinated with TD since I saw them on TV -travel show back in the spring. Since then I have been dreaming of the type of TD I would like.

I am no avid camper and the cottage dwelling has been the way I've been seeing the outdoors in the last couple of years. My wife and I actually don't stay in the cottage since is a big family reunion, instead we have been tenting it out.

This is why I am looking at taking the next step in comfort. The teardrop.

Since I am a starter I think I have narrowed down my criteria for a first teardrop.

1. I will purchase one - used
2. size 5x10 or at least one that could comfortably hold a queen size bed
3. I would like to have one with no galley to start. This will give me the versatility to use it as a utility trailer. Eventually I will build the galley and make it removable .
4. Style- the Benroy style or the camp-inn type.
5. Power will be added in the future.
6. I am towing with a Nissan Axxess so towing capacity is 2000lbs

I'm hoping through all the posts here that I will find what I am looking for.

Thanks for all the good topics and I look forward bumping into you guys one day.

Image to the playground Chuck. You should have no trouble finding a 5x10 used. You might have trouble finding one that doesn't have a galley. Course you could always build one. I am not sure how much use a TD without a hatch will be for hauling though.

Check the For sale adds here and on Craigs list.

Good luck

Hello Miriam,

Thanks for the first welcome. Actually the TD I'm looking for will have a hatch. As for building one, I don't think I have the skill to do a full TD build. I can definitely modify a used TD to suit my needs though. I've seen some TD that can be bought new that are strictly motorcycle haulers.
