Howdy from Texas

Postby papa-t » Thu Oct 08, 2009 2:04 pm

I'm a newby to teardrops but an experienced tent camper. Just completed a utility trailer I designed to tow behind my Kia Shortage (yeah, I know, it's a Sportage), a "learnin' to weld" project. I scratch built the ute to be no wider than the Kia. Project was so much fun, I think I want to build a teardrop, as soon as I clear out a few other projects. Projects are so much fun to START!

Welcome. There are a bunch of TD owners here in North Texas. You'll have to come out and play with us some time soon.

If you can make it, we have a huge regional gathering near Shreveport in a few weeks. LCG4 will have 80 or so TDs and TTTs.

We have another, smaller gathering at Lake Ray Roberts in December.

Hi papa-t,

Welcome! What part of north Texas do you live and what's your first name?

I'm a newby - one year into building my teardrop - but there are a bunch of folks in the DFW area that have teardrops.

I live in parker county near Springtown, work in North Ft. Worth as a master auto tech. Have worked with wood for years, welding is new fun for me. My name is Terry, but with 17 grandkids, I answer to papa, pop, poppie, gran'pa, and hey you!
