Hello from a newbie in utah

Well what to say I have admired tear drops for years. We have a pop up trailer but since we recently sold our tow vehicle. And and now only have 4 cylinder vehicles. I have decided to strip it down to the frame and turn it into a teardrop. I want to use as much as I can out of the pop-up. My hope is to cut the 2000# weight down to 1000 or less. The plan is in my head so it is constantly changing. I just hope it works. The trailer is 10' long by 5.5 ' wide.

Welcome to the obs- err, hobby. You may want to move your axle back a bit on the frame as well. Look through all the plans and design library and you'll come up with your dream TD in no time.

Welcome to the forum from another Utahn! We also tow with a 4 cylinder car, so keeping the weight down was one of my top build priorities, too. Mine's a 5x8 and comes in around 750 lbs completely empty. Have fun!
