well i am a newbie, there i said it!! ive been wanting to build one for 4 years now and i think this is the time, i have 3 kids almost all grown up, i have my girl friend of 4 years named angel and we have a toy poodle named curley, almost forgot im kevin, anyway we go to the NHRA drag races twice a year and we want to do other camping. after reading a little bit of this i have my site set on the weekender that mike has designed(thanks Mike) i did print up the generic benroy form mike so now all im waiting for is the trailer. i do have a chance a old boat trailer that i would have to cut down, i want to make it 5x8 so i have room for me angel and curley. i have made up many drawings and even laid down masking tape on the garage floor to get an idea of how its going to look. the nextstep is finding someone locally who can get me 5x8 sheets of plywood, i heard of 2 places i just got to check it out, well anyone wants to more contact me THANK YOU! Kevin :)

Kevin,
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you got a pretty great life. Now for the final touch get your Teardrop built. Youve got a great TearJerkers group for your area. If you havent joined you need to. Youll belong to the BuckEye Chapter. I camped with several of them and they are awesome people. So if you havent joined the TearJerkers you really should. TearJerkers are a social camping club who get together several times a year for some good camping fun. So if ya wanna meet some great friendly folk and check out some neat rigs you need to join. Everyones welcome. Oh yea dogs are welcome too. Just click on the TearJerkers in the above heading on the bottom line beside "Other Websites". Im sure Well be seeing you at future Gatherings.
Good luck on the build,
Bill and Marijo :applause:
Hope to see you on the road.

Kevin...welcome aboard! If you have a router, get a 3 wing cutter and splice up whatever size you need. Might be cheaper than the 5 by material. The advantage is, with that, you can just about make any thickness, 3/8" up, of ply whatever size you want. Doug

Research is good. Although the ideas on this site can cause an overload.
