This is the place where you can introduce yourself, and include a photo if so desired.

Hi

Postby NancyM » Fri Nov 06, 2009 12:37 pm

Recently joined this group. Live in the land of a thousand lakes, Minnesota. Not new to RVs but am new to teardrops. Currently own a RV, Hi-Lo, but looking to get a more economical vehicle thus will need something lighter to pull. We do not want to tent so the more I'm seeing on teardrops the more I like. This group certainly seems like a fun and friendly group - very nice! :)

Greetings from Wet Washington! You'll find a lot of info here; there's tons of experience and knowledge.

Fun . . . .friendly . . . . and just more than slightly demented

Hi Nancy, and welcome,
We are from Mora, Mn. Although we are currently on the Gulf of Mexico for the winter.
You should look into joing the St. Croix Chapter of teardroppers. We don't care if you have one yet or not. You would be welcome.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! :) So far I have been more of a lurker doing alot of reading about the different teardrop brands. I wish I was handy enough to build my own.

So far I like Camp-Inn and Lil Traveler by Pleasant Valley. Checking out So-Cal, Cozy Cruiser, and Hunter. We have owned several travel trailers in the past years. Have been to RV shows, checked out motorhomes, 5'vers, etc and I still can't believe it has taken me this long to look into teardrops! I've been missing out!

I enjoy seeing peoples pics of their setup with side tents, canopies, and how they organized their kitchen galley. Rainman0 - I probably will try to go to the next meet for the St. Croix chapter of teardroppers - just have to wait out the cold long winter! Hopefully by then we'll have a new teardrop!

No need to wait for summer with a teardrop. They are easy as pie to heat in cold weather, and the state parks always have some sites open.

Hello Nancy and welcome. I just wanted to ad that the little teardrop in the lower left corner of this post is now just outside St Paul. Forum member SandyD bought her a couple of months ago. Lots of really nice teardropping folks up that way.

Just wanted to put in My two cent, I don't have a teardrop and for twenty years I've been wanting a Casita RV, But I hook up with this Group and must say, there fun loving and care about you and camping...they have gave me so much information , and I'm starting to think more about teardrop camper...they will have you wanting to build something, in Know time....I can't build a bird house and I'm starting to think why not.....I look and read a ton of forums, but you can't beat the people here... ;)
