Welcome, you will find LOTS of information, but may I make a suggestion that you may want to attend one of the gatherings and see what folks have and talk with them. Most are more than hppy to share their experience. You may also want to check out TearJerkers (top of the page).

Welcome, Mike

We've got quite a few teardrop owners/builders in 'Bama. I'm the Alabama chapter director for the Alabama TearJerkers and we had our inaugural gathering earlier this month. At that gathering we had attendees from Eva, Birmingham, near Kimberly, and Jasper as well as folks from TN, MS and GA. Several 'Bama folks couldn't make it that weekend because of the weather (it snowed). Use the link above to find out more about group camping opportunities as and once you've built.

My brother-in-law built my tear (he lives in Oxford). So, you'll find some good connections near by as well as the wealth of knowledge from across the country on this board.

welcome from las vegas nv

I lived in Madison Al for a few yrs working. It is a beautiful place to live. I was without a camper while there but did lots of day trips to the wooden walk bridge in Madison and up into Tenn. Maybe we can tank a trip back there someday. Good luck with your build

Welcome aboard Mike. Good to see fellow local getting into the game. I'm still in the gathering materials and tools phase for a Weekender build but do have a TSC 4x8 trailer to build on. This is a great place for ideas and inspiration.
