Brand new from Wisconsin

Postby gregp136 » Sun Jan 03, 2010 10:19 am

Hello everyone,

Greg here from Milwaukee, Wi. Have the plans ready to go and will begin building as soon as it warms up a bit so I dont freeze my sidewalls working in the garage. Have wanted to build a teardrop for years, and this year my wife and I will be working together on it. It will be a great year.

Greg (&Laurie)

See you all on the road!

Welcome to the forum ! You are lucky enough to be in the great state of Wisconsin with the best Teardroppers around.

Let me know if you need an axel . I have a brand new 5' one for sale. I will sell it for less than I paid for it and can deliver it to you.

Welcome from a pretty close fellow teardropper! We live in Whitewater and are also relatively new. After getting totally hooked on this forum, and initially really wanting to build, we decided to plunge in and buy one because we wanted to get camping! We were able to find a Lil Traveler and really like it. If you want to see it, let me know. I think the company did a really good job with it. I think ours is a 2008 and they did a great job with all the hatch seals, in my opinion. There's a gathering in April--check out Cooler Near the Lake in the Midwest section--it's at Kohler Andrae State Park. Hopefully our paths will cross!

Thanks for the offer, but we are thinking of going with the Northern tool 5x8 trailer, with 2 extra supports for the tongue. Plan to buy it as soon as it goes on sale or as soon as the house taxes are paid :D

Hi Greg and Laurie,

Welcome to T&TTT. :)

What style TD have you planned? As AL stated earlier, post photos when you get started with your build.

Later,
Mike

We are eager to join the local teardrop club, but we also need to get started on the teardrop. We are building the KuffleCreek Cubbie model, but expanding it from 4 to 5 ft wide. All in the planning stages right now. Am building a scale model of it while I wait for the weather to warm a bit and to get money after paying property taxes....... Will keep you all informed.

Being a member seems like a great way to have fun once the teardrop is done, but it also makes sense to help find local suppliers for some of the harder to find items. :x So how do we join?

Welcome!!!

Postby Dragonryder » Fri Jan 22, 2010 12:23 pm

Welcome to a very informative and fun site. Make sure that you keep us posted on your progress. It always helps to have an extra pair of hands. I built mine with no help and there were moments that I thought I'd never be able to do it. Having help should make it a much more enjoyable project.

Good luck.
Have a great day and hoping the weather is great no matter where you are!!!

Signed, Me
