Hi everyone,

I've been looking at this forum for 'bout 3+ weeks. Lots of great info. I 've learned alot but still need lots of learning. I want to start my own build, a 5x8 but having questions about plans. Have the copy of the generic benroy, are there any other free plans for a 5x8. I plan on getting my trailer from Red Trailer.

Plans

Postby Alfred » Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:05 am

Hey Toys4u2,

Welcome to the T&TTT forum from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC!

Not plans exactly, but a lot of step-by-step information on Mike's Weekender build:
http://www.mikenchell.com/weekender/

A lot of different drawings here:
http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/t ... tear00.htm

Several "vintage" plans here:
http://www.mikenchell.com/VintagePlans/ ... plans.html

The thing about the Generic Benroy plans is one can modify them, as far as profile, etc. (Although the Benroy is a great profile), but still use them as a reference for technique and order of build, etc.

Keep us posted as to your progress!

Hi, Toys for you two. From where do you hail, here in So Calif, perhaps we are neighbors. Lets talk teardrops over a cup of coffee.

Well......if you head down the I-15 and cross I-91, near Corona, Wildomar is about 20 miles south. About 10 miles north of Temecula, situated in the foothills of the land between the Ortega Highway and the beautiful, resort mountain resort area of Idlewild..........Next time you are headed this way, the coffee is always on and at least 2 teardrops anticipate your inspection. I'm half-way between I-15 and I-215, welcome to the "club".

Well, I thank you very much. Next time I'm in the area I would love a cup of coffee and would enjoy a look at your tears
