Newbie from Virginia

Postby LarryW » Tue Feb 02, 2010 2:24 pm

I've been lurking and reading for a while and I thought I'd join in. I've got a lot of irons in the fire at the present with boats and cars figured my not a trailer. My other half does the dog show deal and I end up going along and am using that as an excuse to build a tear of sorts to haul the extra stuff she uses.
Anyway I enjoy all of your builds and I've gotten a lot of ideas from you.

Thanks Cliff. I've got 2 trailers already just need to decide which to use. One is 5x8 that I built a few years back for utilty out of box tubing with a 1500 lb spring. The other is a boat trailer which lighter and 5x8. Thinking about the Weekender. Looks easy and no complicated lines.

I love my weekender, but I'm already planning #2, which will be a traditional tear shape. I think I underestimated my skills when I shied away from the curves. :D

The number of people from Northern Virginia on here we ought to get together somewhere in the area when the weather breaks....I want to take NAPSACK out somewhere fairly close by....within 50/75 miles for what will be the shake-down campout.

Greetings from the Catoctin Valley, here in Loudoun County.

Snow last Saturday, more last night, and a monster snow lined up for Friday.
Cheers,

Yeah, Virginia is supposed to be one of the southern states. But I did go to college at Va Tech, so I'm kind of familiar with this weather (the winter there can be rough).
