texas firefighter joining the forum

My name is Byron and am a firefighter with the City of Conroe, north of Houston for over 14 years and total career of 18 plus years total. I have been reading up on this forum for a year plus, reading, learning, and planning my camper. I have truly got a ton of great information. I am starting next week on a standie as I think ya'll would call it. I stripped a 08 camper that was gonna be used the as a command trailer so i have all goodies inside, along with the tanks and electrical system, so I think I'm ready. Everyone on here seems to be super helpful and looking to post my progress. If anyone is building in houston i'd love to meet them to learn any pointers to make this easier. I have a old 6x9' stand up camper that i had bought to give it a face lift and found out that the walls were shot and needed a total rebuild from floor up, found this site and made the decision to start from scratch, with my new found treasures. So I been planning for a year now. So Ill have a start for a great teardrop or small standie for someone, I'll post it soon once I get the hang of the forum. Thanks for all the great info.
Thanks again Byron

Welcome.

My sister lives in Tomball, and we have an active forum member and camper near Magnolia. He goes by SonetPro on the board.

I hope you'll come out to some gatherings. Here is the list for 2010, so far...

Hi Byron,
Welcome to the TD and TTT world! If you haven't already, check out the South Central section for area gatherings. I'm still building my teardrop, but have attended gatherings, and everyone makes you feel welcome.
