Hi all. I have yet to find a trailer, but thought I'd go ahead and post and introduce myself.

I've been searching for a trailer on ebay for quite some time now, but haven't had any luck yet. I think I'm leaning towards a used Little Guy, but I'm flexible depending on what presents itself as for sale. I have no desire to build and/or to modify. I simply want a trailer to sleep in and to carry the basics for camping. I really hope to have something before the spring months arrive.

I look forward to posting, camping, and learning from other members. Thanks in advance for your suggestions & comments! Tim

Welcome to the forum. Even though you don't have a teardrop, you can still come to our gatherings. We have several "Illini" that regularly attend.

Our spring gathering is a Spring Mill State Park (Mitchell, IN). You could come and get a good look at some fantastic teardrops.

You can follow the gathering on this LINK.

i'm not 100% sure exactly what i'm looking for... i'm pretty flexible. i want something fairly basic & lite weight. i'd like to be able to pull the trailer with our honda element. i'd like at least one 12-volt outlet for the basics, but don't need a/c or anything heavy duty. i simply want a trailer to sleep in and carry the basics for camping. i've seen several little guy trailers on ebay, but its not like i have my heart set on one. i'd really like to spend $2500 or less if possible.

Welcome from Northern Illinois, You are in the right place for Tear drops.
Tons of information and Decades of combined camping experience here.
Be prepared for a road trip to find what you are looking for, but somewhere in the country it is out there. Get your Tow Vehicle (TV) all ready if it is not already so when you do locate one you can snach it up quickly. . Plenty of information and camping tips here as well. Good luck with your search, and when you find it as they say around this group, Lots of pictures please! Bill

i thought i would provide an update, post a couple pics, and add a few details...

i found & purchased a trailer today in indianapolis. i purchased it from goodtimin' hot rods. tom (the owner) was great to work with and the sale couldn't have been easier. i got a 2010 little guy 5-wide. tom ordered it without the interior cabinets, without the counter/shelf in the galley, and no graphics. it has the power package, front platform, and aluminum wheels.

i'm anxious for spring to arrive so we can get out and use the trailer. i'm planning on going to a few of the scheduled gatherings this year.

now for me... my wife and i live in bloomington, illinois. my oldest brother and i are self employed and my wife runs our office. we both graduated from illinois state and we've been married almost 5 years. we are expecting our first child in august. we camped approximately 40 nights last year. we also have a starcraft 18RB hybrid travel trailer. with the baby on the way we're planning on ending our camping season in late june or early july depending on how she feels.

i added a few photos to my album from today. i also try to post pics to:

thanks to everyone who helped provide me with info prior to finding the trailer i purchased.

yes, still have the element... we love it. i'm excited to be able to use it to pull the little guy.

we drove the element on a 3000 mile road trip in january. it's a handy little vehicle.

ps: your trailer looks awesome.
