Welcome to the forum. :) Tell us a little about yourself. Do you have a Teardrop or Travel trailer? Or if not do you plan on building or buying.
Great to have you aboard.

DAve, welcome to the forum.
In case you feel the need to camp outside of Ohio, there are many gatherings that I'm sure would welcome you with open arms.
Our Chapter (Hoosier TearJerkers) is having our first 2010 gathering in May and it would be great if you could make it. Here is some information about it as well as our 2010 schedule of gatherings.
No matter were you go, just have fun.

We were down that way this fall, leaf looking. Nice down that way. We are really getting over grown with people around here. They have to keep building more and more schools.
I would love to get a small place on the river some where. But with two boys in school, and one being out of state I guess that will have to wait for a time.
We plan on taking a trip down to Ohio Power some time this summer, would like to see what it is like now. I use to hunt a lot in my younger years down there.
Maybe we will bump into you some time this summer. Want to go to a camp-out with some of the folk in KY.

The Buckeyes Have It !!!

Postby down under tech » Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:57 pm

Welcome Dave: I used to go through Marietta (on the Ohio River) when we went to our grand parents in WV. I to am a Buckeye Born Teardrop builder. I was born in Orrville and I lived in Wooster (both in Wayne County) before moving to Reno NV. Good luck on your build. How come you said 2011 ??? Build it this year if you can. What are your plans ? Check out the Generic Benroy plans at the top of the page. You can't beat FREE plans. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. The people are very helpful on this forum. I am building my teardrop trailer (Silver Nugget) now, check out my album if you would like. Check all of the pages of pics. The build starts on page five and work your way back to page one. This is the order of the build.

Good Luck to you,

ERV: Where is Medina? Don't answer that, I KNOW. Just messing with you.

Johnny D. and Dave-- Hi from one transplanted buckeye to another (OH--) . My husband is from Hartville and says he used to go to track meets in Orrville, but he is much older than you! Got tired of always being wet--slush in the winter and sweating to death in the summer and moved west!

1958

Postby down under tech » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:17 pm

I was born this day in 1958 = 52 years and counting. Hartville, south of Canton !!!

I hated the weather there, too.

yup, that's the place. Known for Amish (all gone now) and the "The Auction". Still going strong. Randy lived right down town just off 619, just a couple of blocks from the flea market. When did you move to NV? Randy has been here 32 years now.

Randy still beats you in age by 6 years but you beat me by 7 months! Happy B day to you. :P :P Did you get any good Teardrop swag?
