we want a teardrop!

Postby edwardlong » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:17 am

Greetings. We're a poet/sometime prof and an hvac tech, at large. Former west coasters who grew up in the South, we've been doing professional housesitting and camping around the country the last two years--and one of us (moi) is too rickety to manage setting up the tent/camp at the end of a day's drive any more. Still love to camp, though. So: teardrop/tiny trailer, where are you?

We've been admiring teardrops awhile now and Ed is looking forward to the time when he can build us one. In the meantime, we're hoping to find one to call home till we find a permanent locale to call home. We'd also like to be part of the tiny trailer community

We started on the west coast, are now in Florida, and will take a month or so to decide where to next. We'd travel a day's drive to fetch one this month and suspect we'll be heading west... So we'll be keeping an eye on this site and will appreciate leads.

Best wishes,
Liz and Ed Long

there is a "for sale" area on the forum - i would recommend keeping a close eye in there. there's usually a couple for sale on ebay too.

good luck with your search. i recently purchased my trailer and was lucky enough to find what i was looking for... eventually.

Welcome Liz and Ed :) There are several teardroppers in your state. There is Steve, Mary K, Lynn, and Cajun Lady (Becca) all from florida. Look them up I'm sure they would love to meet you.

Have Fun

Now there is a novel thought being a service provider. A professional house sitter. Have house you need looking after, we have our own sleeping quarters, will travel.

Image to the playground Liz and Ed. Do look in the "for sale" forum and also post an add. You might find someone who is looking to sell.

Keep looking around and good luck with the search and build.
