Hello from Minnesota

Postby sloscheider » Wed May 19, 2010 1:04 pm

Greetings! I'm looking into building a td for myself and look forward to learning a bunch. My son also wants to do a bit of touring after high school and I suspect a teardrop would suit him well.

I've spent the last 6 months working on my newly purchased home which was a foreclosure with no running water, no heat and numerous other problems - it's been fun

I dabble in blacksmithing (though I'm not very good yet) and enjoy photography. My wife might tell you my hobby is junk collecting...

Welcome from a fellow Minnesotan! You should check out the gatherings listed on the St. Croix Chapter section of the Tearjerkers web site. There is one the first week of June near Pine City. A gathering is a great place to see other teardrops. It sure helped me when I was building my Generic Benroy! Hope to see you camping soon!

Hey Paul! We are going to be up in your neck of the woods this weekend with the teardrop for a nephew's graduation from Crookston.

Wow! Welcome to the T&TTT group from the beautiful mountains of Western NC! I am thinking it would have been really cool to go touring in a TD after HS, what a great idea and what a cool project for you and your Son. Keep us posted as to your progress and post pictures of your build!
