Greeting People...

Postby Vernon » Sun Jul 04, 2010 12:59 pm

I saw Grizz's teardrop he has made, and as I'm on a UK based Motorcycle with him,I thought it only polite to join as well,so here I am.

I have my own little business, making aluminium luggage for motorbikes, and they seem to get sent all over the world. My website is www.projectvnd.com if anyone wants to have a look(Mods;Feel free to remove link if you think it's advertising or spamming!)

I really like the idea of all the teardrop trailers, and have lots of time for people who make their own things rather than just go and buy whatever is in the shops.

Well, that's me and hello to you all.

Welcome! Nice looking "luggage." Sure wish I had your welding skills.

Hallo Vern, great to see you here.

Like you say, lots to be said for making ones own stuff.

I hope you get enough ideas here to get a trailer built for the GS.

For those who do not know, Vern's stuff he makes really is top drawer.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

Hi Vernon,

Welcome to the forum.

Your panniers show superb design and craftsmanship!

Unless it would be prohibitively expensive, why not try
to scale up the pannier frame and aluminum covering
into a a size that could become a TD body? It would be
next to indestuctable!

Have a look too at the Roswell Build thread - really inspirational.

Welcome aboard Vernon. We really enjoyed watching Griz build his camper.

From looking at your website, I would say we are eagerly awaiting your build too.

Got my 1200GS back on the road today for the first time in about 8 months. Passed the MOT, now just need to tax it online for the year later.

Only did 600 miles ovar the last year.

Vern, I have sent you a PM with some more UK based advice on bike trailers.

The rusty wheels are turning in my head at the moment, and some undoable ideas are coming up.I'm sure a sensible one will evolve eventually,or not.

Great site this, but it's too big to remember what you've already looked at,or what you looked at,and where it was,but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.
