Hello from Minnesota

Postby Redgloves » Wed Jul 07, 2010 2:22 pm

Hi,
I have been researching T@B's and now teardrops. Hope to make a decision and purchase one around April 2011. Love T@B's, frustrated Dutchman is no longer making the product. Teardrops need to be considered because of shorter height and can be stored in garage. T@B would have to be outside.

Experienced camping in tents as a kid. As a married adult in popups, travel trailers, and 5th wheels. Now that I am single again, seeking a ultralite or teardrop.

So I have enjoyed lurking the past few days and decided to join.

Welcome to the forum, from a Wisconsinite. Sounds like you're giving yourself some time for the decision-making process. It's fun to think and plan...

Jean,

Just so you will know, women in tear drops have lots more fun than in conventional RV's. 8)

Welcome Jean.

Always great to see another Minnesotaian join the ranks. Feel free to attend any of the gatherings listed on either site. You will be sure to get lots of ideas.

I have more then enough camping experience, over 20 years in tents, pop ups, travel trailers, 5th wheels, tent, and now in back of pickup.

I even have 3 DO. Favorite is the 10 inch. Have baked bread, cakes, chili, and traditional meals.

I checked out the link (http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/can_camp.html) for the "I Can Camp!" program. It seems to me that it is a great idea for those new to or apprehensive about camping.
