Hello My name is Jim Gilmore. Up until last month I was using a 1982 lazy daze to live in and hunt for gold in the california desert. But my rv did not pass smog. I am considering switching to a trailer of some kind. While I can do with out many options, I'd like a indoor potty,a bed and a little room for my drywasher which folds up and a few buckets. I presently have a honda civic wagon/van. Which while small does afford me some room for the toys.
I am curious if anybody has built a tear with the back end able to be swung open.
I'd also like to know if anyone has raised the floor about 8" above the trailer frame to allow for under floor storage from side to side. I'd like ac but never had it before. So I can survive without it. A little roof space for a solar panel or two ,and I'd be good to go. I've existed with a 1200 watt gen for over a year. Which is enough to run a portable ice maker.
My biggest problem will be finding a location to do the build. Perhaps in a rented storage space.
Then the question is can it be built light enough to be pulled by the honda.
