Hi all,

Im sitting here in cloudy Portland Oregon, I came acrrossed this site actually by accident.

I was looking at building a tear drop and the one that really caught my eye was Nicks 47 Ken Skill....I did a search for that trailer and found my way here!

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome aboard!

I'm from Hood River and my sister lives in Portland.

How I suffer envy just thinking about all the spectacular camping opportunities in the Pacific Northwest....

Well lets see, I camp alot, always with a tent... just me the wife and a Boxer pup..we love it

I was at a campsite in the Columbia River Gorge here in Oregon and this guy rolled up with his VW Vanagaon and a tear drop.. I had never seen one before...I instantly loved it!
I started searching the net for dealers but couldnt really find any except T@B, which Im not a big fan of how high the are....I like the sleek look of the Teardrop this guy had..I came acrossed the 47 Ken Skill and went nuts! Man I like the looks of it! So I convinced my wife that it would be a good thing to have camping....she agreed..so the next step is building one.. I cant seem to find one the way I want it, so Ill build it...as it happens to be..I work for a company that builds and outfits vehicles for the government and major comapanies, so I figured since I have all that shop at my displosal I would put it to good use..... now I ve come acrossed this site which I must admit has been a huge help in me finding the resorces I need....
Its kinda ironic, the majority of the stuff I see you all putting in or on your trailers I actually stock at work..or am direct with the manufacturer..so I will be able to get most of what I need easily.

Ive been really looking into interiors as well..I have a few ideas..and ALOT of questions! So I will read up on all these thread you all have posted...

I had a 2007 PT that I was considering using as the tow vehicle..it was getting to many miles so I traded it in and got a Honda CRV ..I wasnt to sure how the PT would do, but obviously it does great since you have used it in the past!

I might have to reconsider the Honda and go pick up a cheap PT again..lol
