Hello from NC

Postby Wayneo » Mon Sep 27, 2010 8:06 pm

Hello,

I wanted to say hello to all you on here. I have been lurking on here for over a year and have decided to just in and give this a try. I will be working on a 5 wide Kenskill. I have a woodworking background and I hope that I can do half the job that all of you have done to your tears. I have my plans for the build and the trailer frame will be finished tomorrow from a local welder. My daughters and I will be doing this together. Thank all of you for the information that you have provided.

Hi Wayne,

another newbie here as well. If I decide to build, I think the Kenskill is what I would like to do. What plans are you using? Are you doing a build log? If not, please keep me updated on your progress.

Plans?

Postby Wayneo » Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:36 pm

Hello JKjeepn,
I will be using Grants plans for the Kenskill. I have learned alot from looking over alot of older post as well and I hope that I can do them justice. There are alot of great builders on here and I am going to try and do a build journal as well. I am not very good with the PC but I will do my best. Thank you guys for the welcome.

Build threads?

Postby Wayneo » Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:43 pm

Hello Weirdnerd,

I was looking at your build photos last night and you did a great job. I hope that mine will turn out half as good as yours sir. I will do my best with the pictures but I may need a little help alone the way. Thanks for the encouraging words

Sometimes, sitting for a while when you have a problem, helps you figure out the next step, I used a lot of " brain CAD", in my case, it only works while I sleep, keep a note pad next to your bed and sketch the stuff you just dreamed of, otherwise you will forget about it when you wake up. That, and a wife asking you "what were you doing last night outside at three in the morning?...."
