Phred in PDX

I decided to go for a teardrop trailer after a stroke left me without the energy needed for all the setup and take down tent camping requires. I do mostly group camping, and I didn't want to be relegated to the parking lot with the big RV's. I figure I can park a teardrop under a couple of canopies, surround with walls, and no one will even know I have one in there.

After much research I found that the few used ones for sale were either too small, or in poor condition, or both.

The new ones were way too expensive for me, so I thought a converted cargo trailer would be the way to go. (Extra galley room.) The stock ones are too tall for the needs of a teardrop, and I didn't like all that unnecessary weight. The price to get my foot in the door was good though at about $2500 for an new cargo trailer to my specifications.

As luck would have it I found a used trailer on Craigslist that was so near to what I wanted and at a good price too. It is a 1965 Little Scamp 5x8 camp trailer. See my album photos.
The only major change will be adding an additional side door.

The trailer was built in Boise Idaho, and I don't think it's any relation to the current Scamp trailer being built now.
