Hi all, I am Ian. I live in the Leicester, UK and I am very close to building a teardrop. I have the chassis and 3 x 8x4 plywood 3/4" thick. I dont have hte spars yet and will be buying the thinner ply for the roof.
I have had this site in my faves/bookmarks for about a year now and finally joinede and had a lot of inspiration looking through the different builds and reading a lot about the build of TD's.. Here is the chassis I will be building on.

The size of the bed is 81" x 50" (outside to outside). It has 10" wheels. The centre of the wheel is 36" from the end of the chassis.
I recon a 8 x 4 will fit on here perfectly.
I hope. lol
Thanks. Ian

Hello Ian,

Welcome to the forum as a poster, glad you got around to joining

Are you able to move that axle back a bit before you start building? 8)

Hi Doug, I have started a post in the 'build journal' under Ians first build.

Hi Steve, I am not sure about moving the axle back but I think I can cut about 9" off the rear end. The 'A' frame is long enough for the body to hang over the boundary of the trailer frame. I am hoping anyway. If it doesnt, I will re-weld all framing when I get a welder. Thanks. Ian
