Another Teardrop joins the ranks

Postby mkitchen » Wed May 18, 2011 10:00 pm

Just wanted to say hello. My wife, Mo, and I will be picking up our teardrop this Friday and am looking forward to doing some road trips in the near future.
New to teardrops but we have had a small popup for about four years and really used it and enjoyed it but I have always wanted a tear. We finally gave the popup to our son and ordered a tear from SoCal teardrops.

We also have an off road trailer made by Adventure Trailers but we wanted something that we could pull behind the Honda. So now we are set up for back country trips and road trips. We will be taking the tear to Idaho and Oregon later this summer and we can't wait to get going in it. Mikey

Cupcake is home!

Postby mkitchen » Sun May 22, 2011 10:19 pm

We picked up our new teardrop form SoCal Teardrops and drove all the way back to Kingman from Upland CA. Round trip was close to 700 miles. A lot of driving but worth it. Mo has already named the TD, Cupcake. Not too sure about the name but she is a hard gal to argue with and she get the grandkids involved too, not fair!

I thought I would post some pics. this first one is a shot we took as we were leaving the So Cal TD shop.

These next two, I took this evening. In the back ground, you can see our off road trailer, an Adventure Trailers, Horizon.

And of course, a side shot.

I am looking forward to getting out and doing some fine style camping. No more sleeping on the ground for us. In fact our first trip will be next weekend. We are going to go out to eastern AZ and western NM for four days.
