Hello from Fort Drum, NY

...but home is in Georgia. I've got 5 kids and a small dog. I joined for the Off-Road and Cargo Trailer forums. I'm amazed at the level of craftsmanship displayed on many of these campers, and I've been inspired to follow suit, albeit in something a leeetle bigger...

I drive a 1999 K2500 Suburban when I can afford to, and my wife's minivan when I can't.

I'm in the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) in SUNNY Fort Drum New York. I say that without a trace of sarcasm! :-) For those of you who have visited The Thousand Islands region in the summer, you know why we love it here. For the rest of you, YOU SHOULD. It's the reason these folks put up with the winters here.

Fort Drum is a special place and the 1000 Islands are beautiful! Thanks for your service and to the boys of the 10th Mt. Div. Lol...years ago (1985) I re-enlisted for Drum but never made it, I was diverted to West Point. Originally form the Hudson Valley NY I was close to home there. Who could complain right?. You'll find this site has a wealth of information and incredible talent! I think once you start your hooked. Myself... I have had many campers/rv's and tried my hand and converting a cargo trailer with many ideas from this forum. Someone here is always willing to help. Good luck to you and enjoy your adventures.
