New, Just a Vicarious Visitor

Postby Tiredoldwhiteman » Thu Aug 04, 2011 12:08 am

Hello from Central Missouri...While I likely will never build or otherwise possess a teardrop, I sure do like those little buggers. So, if its alright, I'll poke my head in every now and then for a peek about; a look of admirational envy.

Good show, y'all...

I don't think you will find a more knowledgeable or creative group and you never know you may be bitten by the bug.

Welcome to the club! I started out the same way as you. I was wanting revive a woodworking hobby after 20+ years of inactivity - kids will do that to you. About the same time we started camping again - loved it but didn't like sleeping on the ground and all the work required for just a weekend trip. From a woodworking site I came across this forum. Well as they say the rest is history.

Seriously. I'm Just Looking and Admiring

Postby Tiredoldwhiteman » Fri Aug 19, 2011 10:40 pm

I appreciate your enthusiasm for my building my own teardrop, but really, I'm only looking and admiring...Unless I get another wife there's no teardrop (or ANY camping in ANY form) in my future...I'm fascinated by teardrops and will limit my participation to the vicarious nature.

Just glad you'll let me stick around and look...

You could always go camping by yourself or with someone else. My wife isn't to crazy about camping either but I like to camp plus I have a new grandson so with or without her, I'm camping.
