Newbie from Michigan

Postby Mark H » Wed Aug 24, 2011 10:49 pm

Hi Y'all! I am new to the site and Teardrops in general. I don't own one yet, but I am planning to start building one in the next few days. I have done a lot of research on designs and structures so now it's time to man up and do it. I still have a lot of questions and will be looking for answers. I will post pics as I progress. I have solid knowledge of most phases of home construction, plumbing and wiring, but my passion is woodworking. So this will hopefully be just the first of many builds to come. Wish me luck, I may need some.

I would strongly suggest that you click the Tearjerkers button at the top of the page and join, come to some of the gatherings and see what others have done. and welcome.

welcome aboard. As mentioned check out the tearjerkers section above. There is a michigan chapter gathering at the end of september and I think sites are still available. If You do not want to camp you can always visit as there will be several tears there including mine.

I am going to join TearJerkers also. The Event at the end of September sounds great. I won't be ready to camp, but I do want to get out and look and ask questions. I have seen a few Tears in the last few months and have asked some questions about likes, dislikes, regrets, would have done different, etc.

Welcome aboard Mark.

This forum is filled with great ideas and information and will help get you where you need to be. If you can make the gathering in September please do. If you have a tent you can double up on another site if need be and ask all the questions you want...

Hope to see you there!
Jeff

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.
