Another Northern CA newb

Hello all,

Having spent the last year or so doing internet research and lurking around this awesome board I believe that I have compiled enough data to finally start my build.

I figure it will take me 12 - 18 months to 'finish', but hopefully it will see some use before then. Details of the build will be posted to my personal web site, but I will make sure to post updates here as well to keep others updated on my progress.

Because of space restrictions, I need to stay under a 13' trailer length, but it needs to be big enough so the wife doesn't feel like we are downsizing too much from our existing 5 person tent; So I am looking at building a 'standie' on 5' x 9' frame. Luckily we are both height impaired so anything over 5'6" will do.

I will be purchasing the steel for the frame this week, and using the three day weekend to start putting the frame together. I will then need to scrape together enough cash for the axle - hopefully sawdust will start to fly by the end of September.
