Hello from the Olsen's

Postby the.olsens2011 » Sat Sep 10, 2011 1:29 pm

Well we are new to this and dont even know where to start but we are hoping to build our first tear drop this winter as long as our 2 month old son lets us have the time to build it. We finally came to an agreement that tent camping is no fun anymore when the tent leaks. So we are excited to start on this and start camping in style  If anyone has any pointers or ideas that would be great. ;)

Talk to everyone soon

Welcome to the madness from GA! Read the build journals and see what you want in your tear and how fancy or simple you want it. I didn't do this but wish I had and thats get Steves book before you start. He has ideas and ways of doing stuff that keeps you out of trouble and keeps you from doing alot of the mistakes I made on mine. Good luck,

Cliff (& Sheri)
In God we trust, shoot the rest and he will sort out!

Ah, you're just down the road from us... a hop and a skip.

Pointers or ideas... yep... look over the hall of fame, and the build journals to get a really good idea of what you want to build...

mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Welcome!!
We are also just starting and very excited. I am learning so much. I read every night the build treads and construction tips. You will learn tons here. The generic Benroy Plans are a great place to start. You can really use whatever profile you want, but the techniques will still work.
Good luck and post lots of pics.

Dear Olsens,

Welcome to the group. Several folks have designed small campers built for families. Keep us posted of your progress!
