Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hello all! When I started looking for lightweight campers, I stumbled across the teardrops and knew right away I had to have one. I've lurked this forum for a little while gathering info, and I've got to tell you, it's gold! I plan on building from the ground up. I'm starting with the trailer frame this weekend. I'm using AutoCAD do draw it. There's a couple of pics in my album of the plan I drew. If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms, I'm all ears.

Glad to see you've caught the bug! Hope to see you camping with some of us soon. There a gathering in Broken Bow, OK in early spring and there's trout in the river there. Just in case you need to do a little fly fishing!

Welcome to the forum. Checked out your plans and it looks like you doing great.
If you'd like to check out some trailers there is a small gathering at twin bridges OK next weekend and another one at Petite Jean in November on the 12th. I don't know how many teardrops will be at either gathering but the people are former tear owners and still teardropers at heart they've just moved up to tiny travel trailers.

Welcome Conway person.

I am from NLR and I have a 5 X 10 tear I built and a 7 X 10 Scotty I am refurbishing.

I will probably be at Petite Jean in November but in the Scotty.

Last weekend of this month there will be a gathering in Louisiana, LCG VI.
should be over 65 trailers at this one.
Only about 3 hours and 45 minutes from Conway.

Thanks everyone! I'll check out the gathering at Petit Jean in November for sure. I have the welder set up for the 21st of this month, so I should be posting progress pics as time goes on.
