Hello from Ottawa Canada

Hi,

I just love this forum and I am now planning to build a solid walled folding trailer. Some of my initial questions have been answered already by reading many of the useful posts. I look forward to sharing my project and getting to know many of the fine people here. :D

Cheers,

Barry

Hey neighbourg, chimming in from Cumberland, looking forward to your project.

I too will be turning a trailer, I owe, into something you can live in in cooler temperature. It is a 3/4 solid walled trailer with a raiseable roof. The last quarter is canvas. It is not insulated and very drafty. Next spring it will be stripped right down to the frame and rebuilt as a tiny trailer. I will post pictures later. The trailer is in the bush and is being used as a hunting camp. I am heading out there today and will post pictures early next week when I return.

Hi Greg and Mikka,

Yes a lot of money is spent by fatcats in Ottawa but I never see it! Mikka, please post some pics before you demolish your trailer, I am not sure what model of trailer you are talking about.

Cheers!

Capitols tend to be like that $> North or South of the border. We used to listen to CBC out of Windsor till they changed the format and though the politics particularly entertaining and certainly no worse and usually better than the US.
Hopefully when you are finished you can join us for some of the gatherings "down south" i.e. Ohio and Indiana and...

I am south of Ottawa. Finch Ontario and wondering if there is enough interest in starting a vintage camper group? P.M. me if interested.

Ol Skool, Know Finch well, go to the beer store often, I hunt at RR 11 and Mary's Rd.
Boffingham, here are a couple picture of my present camper. Sorry for the mess, it is being used as a hunting camp.

I now may turn it into a toyhauler and small camper because I realize that cramped spaces are no longer for me. With arthritis, fybromialgia and other nasties, I need some space around me where I can relax and certainly can't crawl up into a bunk with a 2 inch mattress.

I am in the process of buying this guy, just financed it today, waiting for the appointment to put in the hitch and change the mirrors on my truck.
