New tiny camper owners in Seattle

Postby durin » Wed Jun 13, 2012 7:10 pm

Hi everyone!

Just bought my first tiny camper last night, a 13' 1973 Bell. Very excited! We'll be taking it on our first road trip over the fourth of July week, so will be putting in some work between now and then.

It is missing the top window glass/frame, visible in the photo below. I'm not sure where to find a replacement, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very appreciative! Previously, I've modified a 26' Intl. School Bus, and my wife and I (and many of our friends) traveled the western half of the US traveling in style and comfort (if not speed) so I'm really looking forward to having some fun cleaning up this little thang!

Thanks and look forward to chatting!

Durin,
I'm not sure if you know this, but your Bell was built in Kalispell, MT.

I bought the windows for the Command Post on Ebay. There are RV salvage yards that strip down old/damaged trailers and post the parts there. You might not be able to find the exact size, but if nothing else, it should be possible to re-frame the window opening for a different size.
Happy camping :)

Hey from the right side of the state. Do you plan on any local camping? It's always good to see another local.
