Hello from Antioch, CA

Hello all I joined up just this month. I’ve been lurking and have gotten the Teardrop building bug.
Currently been using a rooftop tent from http://compactcampingconcepts.com/ that I mounted on my HF folding trailer that I purchased years ago.


I camp with my wife and two kids. We all love camping, especially being off the ground. I can see when the kids get bigger I’ll be needing more room when camping, but I do not want to buy a conventional RV. I really like the rooftop tent. During one of my YouTube lurking I saw a video with the owner stating that he had build his. I was hooked and now I want to build one with the tent as my second floor sleeping accommodations.

Currently I’ve been compiling a list of ideas and features that I would like in or on my build.
I hope to have a post soon so you guys can give me additional ideas and advise.

On that note, I’m thinking posting in the “Teardrop Construction Tips & Techniques” section.

Welcome and I would love to see some more pictures of your trailer.

I am in San Ramon if you want to get together and compare notes.

Funny last weekend we were in Lodi for Towerfest and stopped in Antioch at Mac's Old house for an early dinner!!
