Hi, my name is John.
Boy Im glad I found you guys. This has to be the friendliest and most helpful forum on the net.I have an old 1950 Aussie Teardrop that im currently trying to restore. Not a lot of information in Australia on Teardrops. It was like winning the lottery finding this site.
We spent 6 weeks in the US last year and loved it so much we will be back again soon.I would love to tour in a car with a teardrop on behind throughout the US. Im getting some great ideas here already for my teardrop nad able to move on a bit more with the restoration. I hope I can become a part of this big teardrop family.

John (campdog). Im a bit like a campdog and just love to relax in front of a big campfire .

Hi John, welcome to the forum. There is everything you could need to know (and lots you don't) about teardrops on this site. If you have questions, fire away! This past August I met a lady from Australia, the Badlands, that publishes a Magazine in Australia for vintage trailers including some Teardrops. I have a copy somewhere if you are interested I can look for it.

Welcome to the forum Campdog

I’m sure if you have a problem with the restoration you’ll find what you need here.

I’m glad you liked the time your spent in the states. Each state has its own places of interest and it’s own beauty.
It is that traveling from place to place that gets boarding. Having a TD in tow would be a great +.

Again Welcome

Thankyou for the warm welcome. I have been following the people from Vintage caravans on facebook and very interesting.
Our six weeks in the States wasnt anywhere near enough. I have a passion for photography and the beauty of the USA has inspired me to return. We covered 8000 mile and 16 National Parks and many State Parks. We travelled mainly off interstates and visited many small towns.Im still editing photos and videos now.
We hired an Escape Camper in LA and hit the road.

Welcome to the forum. We encountered a number of folks in rental RV's on our trip to California this summer from a number of different countries including a couple of the Escape motor homes. There are a couple of places in California that rent teardrops but finding a rental tow vehicle might be difficult. I also noted that all of the rental RVs were in the far west and there is much in the eastern US that is fantastic.
