Hello from South Carolina

Postby JeremiahO » Sun Nov 11, 2012 2:55 pm

Hey Yall, My name is Jeremiah. Ive already introduced myself over on the teardroppers site, and now that I'm activated here, well, hello again. I've been really wantng to build a teardrop camper for several years, only to be sidestepped by the purchace of a 25' camper. Well now that that beast is out of my driveway, I am planning the build of my tear. So far, and its a planning process in motion, I am planning on a 5 x 10 woodie with a 2' flat rack in front. I am an auto collision/ restoration tech by trade, so while I'm good at building things this will likely be a challenge and I look forward to help along the way. Unfortunatly I am not well off and this build will have to progress at the pace of extra funds, and with student loan debt the size of a decent house, and a two year old, funds are short.
To date, I have procured the axle (which needs lengthened) the springs and hardware. Next is wheels, tires, and metal tubing. Hopefully by Christmas, I will have a rolling frame. My original goal was to be ready to camp by Florida speedweeks (mid Feb) but now that seems laughable. Anyhow... hello!

Hello Jeremiah,

No need to rush that build, slow it down and do a nice job. You're on teardrop time now.

Oh and welcome to the forum!

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
