G'day from Australia

Postby lukeyslide » Fri Jan 04, 2013 8:48 am

Hello Everyone,

I have been on these forums for a while obsorbing information from this great site and its members. There are so many great builds on here that this has given myself the motivation to build my own tiny traveler be it not as small as it started out. To be classed as tiny trailer 10 feet or 3 metres qualifies( not too sure on that) but I have gone outside this somewhat by nearly 1.1 metres or bit over 3 feet. There are not too many forums like this one and when I stumbled on some years ago I could not believe it. The hardest part has been the design. User name lukeyslide would mean the van would be 10 feet and slide into say 18 footer, this then changed into a fold out design which looked good on paper but considering I have never attempted this I thought I'd keep to the KISS principal. So after 18 months of looking at this and that I have jumped in and started on the van.

There are so many people out there who say that it can't be done but most of you have proved that wrong. I have started from scratch including chassis. I will start a build thread.

I did not wait till I retired like my parents to explore this great land and the world like my parents. Life is way to short. Live it.

Welcome. Look in this post. I earlier read of a teardropper in Brisbane. He has started a blog to organize campout gatherings. Good luck.
