Project Started!!!

OK, as of Friday I am in build mode. I'm Mike, I ride a GL1800 Honda Gold Wing and I plan to tow my non-teardrop shaped bedroom behind the wing!
In order to do this I plan to keep my design light by building only a 1 person bedroom with limited storage. it will be mostly box shaped (rounded upper corners front and back. It's only 37" wide (same as bike, wheels actaully are 41" to outside. with a body height of 37" and a larger door to make it easier for a old fat guy to get in. LOL!
I'll post some pics soon, I'm already laying out the sides. Base is complete with 6" storage between base and bed floor. Still trying to find a small opening window approx 10" hi by 20 wide for back end. Have a nice used RV window for passenger side wall. I plan to light using only a LED interior light, off a gel cell battery, to be charged off bike. Shooting for May test run!

Welcome to the forums Mike.

Sound like a plan. There is a few smaller trailer on the forums for motorcycles and trikes. If you have not
seen them take a bit of time and search for them.

Newbie area get lost and covered up fast.

Hello Mike, welcome to the mad, mad world of teardrop trailers. Here's a pic of a couple I've seen here in SoCal.

I started 3 weeks ago this friday. (btw GAGE) I work at Edwards AFB. I have the enclosure complete needs entry door and storage compartment doors, then fiberglass. looks like I'll be at about 400 llbs towing weight with swiveling tongue. I designed and used on the frame when it was a pod trailer, can tow through twisties dragging pegs and not know its back there. Here's a pic as of this afternoon. my only worry is these so cal winds. We'll see!!
