Hello from MN

Postby Keystone » Sun Feb 17, 2013 1:45 pm

Hi, been lurking for a bit, deiced to become a member.
I live in Albert Lea, MN. Biker. Disabled Veteran. Getting to the point that I can not ride all over the country. Did not want an RV or regular Toy Hauler. So I bought a 2013 7X16 V-nose Road Force (Wells Cargo). Have an RV A/C unit installed along with electric srvc. Will build some cabinets in the V. Folding table on the long wall.

It will be kept pretty simple. I do not cook when we are on vacation so no kitchen. Places we stay all have toilets and showers so we are good there. But we do want a better bed idea. I would like to come up with a simple fold down bed platform. My Trike needs over 5' of clearance coming into the trailer. It will be backed in and secured towards the nose of the trailer. My wife's bike will be towards the rear of the trailer. Bikes will not sleep inside when we are using it as a tent on wheels.

So what we want is a bed idea that will fold up out of the way, be fast and easy to set up and hopefully made of wood. I build furniture as a hobby. So any examples you have feel free to send them my way. I will also post on the Cargo trailer conversions thread.

Thanks for the warm welcome Terry!

Those three threads are what prompted me to join. Watermarks in the pics get old!

Welcome from a fellow Minnesotan! This is an awesome site. It helped me build my Benroy. Working on them is half the fun! We are planning a small gathering at Mille Lacs Kathio State Park the first weekend in May if you want to join us camping. All the information is on the Tearjerkers web site under the St. Croix Chapter section. Hope to see you camping soon!
