New from Ohio

Postby adamhusband » Sat Mar 16, 2013 3:06 pm

I have recently bought a 2013 Homesteader Aerodyne 4X8 that I plan to convert to a Tiny Travel Trailer. I am keeping it simple and will probably only put insulation and windows in and maybe a whole in the floor to run an extension cord for any needed electricity when wanted. My biggest dilemma is the windows and sealing them. I have looked at the playhouse and shed windows as suggested on this website but I Cannot find a specific thread on windows and window installation and tips or a step by step. I do a search and only small comments on windows come up with no details. Can anyone help me with a link or post.

Welcome to the group!
Hope you can join in a Tear Jerkers gathering too. Always fun to see what others have done to get their trailer just right for them.

I will second the welcome. We are up near Toledo.
If you click the TD friendly above you will find the Tearjerkers web site and the Buckeye chapter gatherings a good place to gain ideas and expertise, from the mistakes we made. There was some one that did a conversions http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=48073

Welcome to the forum ! Best of luck with your build. I am intrigued with your aerodyne trailer. They look to be really well built and are priced astonishingly low. Is the quality as good as it looks. I am to far along to jump on an aerodyne now but they would be my first choice if I was just starting. Lee

StarCatcher I saw this build. It was the reason I chose this site so I could see the pics without the logos. I wonder if this person ever finished it. I don't see anymore pics of the build. I remember when I first had a thought of converting a trailer and I googled it and this link came up. I haven't received my trailer yet. I am waiting to pick it up. I'll have to drive to Tennessee and get it this week or next. I'll let you all know about the quality of the build.
