Hi everyone,
I've been a longtime admirer of teardrop trailers, and now that I finally live in a house rather than an apartment I'm considering building something similar for myself. During my research I quickly came across this forum and found this site to be by far the most informative place to come for learning about the subject. I'm glad to be a part of the community now, and I hope to join in the many interesting discussions here.

Welcome! From what part of the world do you come from? You'll find, generally, this is a friendly forum. There's a lot of information here, you'll save a lot of time if you listen :)

If you're anywhere near the Midwest, in July is one of the largest teardrop gatherings in the world :). Hope to see you there!

Welcome! I'm pretty new too, been coming here about a year and I hope to be testing my build (outside my yard or driveway) within the next 2 weeks. It IS doable!
Good luck. Where you from?

Thank you all for the warm welcomes.

I hail from the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Corvallis Oregon to be exact. It'll probably be a while before I actually begin building since I've got a ton of other projects ahead of me, not to mention a limited budget, but I'll get there eventually.

Welcome! I am a newbie poster but have been a member for a year or so and lurked for six months before that. One thing that really helped me was to check out pretty much every build in the build journal section. I think I went 7 or 8 pages deep just looking and reading. It really answered a lot of questions that I had early on because most people had solutions in their build pages. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum that is designed to help you in your efforts to build a teardrop trailer. Hmmm OR, huh. Well, if you can swing it, there is a great teardrop gathering at Lake Shasta in a couple of weeks , and it would be very helpful for you to come on down and meet over a hundred TD and tiny trailer folks. Come as you are, sleep in your vehicle, a tent or whatever, everyone is welcome. Seeing these marvels of engineering is worth a thousand words, and you can take a bunch of pictures and ask any question you want. They are all there to help, since many have been in the same place as you are, once upon a time. Check out the info in the destinations section of the board, or the South West section below.

Aye, I've been reading quite a bit already, and learning lots in the process. Fortunately I already have some experience in basic woodworking and have built a utility trailer on one of the bolt together frames from Bi-mart before as well, so I have some idea what I'll be getting into as far as construction goes. Most my questions will be regarding plumbing/electric and weatherproofing, as well as running some ideas past all of you guys for different layouts.
