Hi everybody. My name is Dustin. I live in reno nevada. I'm 30 and have a family of 4. Married and 2 children. 13 year old girl and 6 year old boy. I have long wanted a trailer for camping and traveling. I'm a big fan "live around trailer" so I think a tear drop will be fitting. Also I'm very excited to do a DIY trailer so it is tailored to my wants and needs. I'm a big fan of 4 wheeling and hope to make a trailer I can pull down rough dirt trails were we may be the only campers for miles. With such a thriving forum of experienced people I hope to gain some knowledge. I'm a certified auto technician buy trade and hope this will help me be a step ahead of the game in a DIY project. I plan to root around the forum before starting anything. It may be months, but I hope not. I think my boy and I may spend the winter in the garage. Happy to be part of the forum and with any luck a future experienced member.

Alright, another Northern Nevada teardropper!!

If you can, come out to Falling Tears at Davis Creek park next weekend (September 19,20,and 21). You get a chance to see about 20 tears in person and maybe pick up a few ideas. See the thread in the Southwest section for more info. You are more than welcome to stop by, visit, and even join us for dinner.

I did this before I started my build, and it was a great help.

Howdy Dustin, Welcome from another Renoite! As Sam said, Falling Tears will be a great way to get your feet wet and meet some neighbors!

All the Best,

Dave

Big welcome from northern Nv. We agree with Sam and Dave, come on out friday or sat with your family to Davis creek and check out the gathering. It is the only place for a year that you will see a group of tears this close to you.m great luck with your build, you won't be sorry. We have met great new friends this way! Dan from winnemucca will have his kids there too.
