New member intro

Postby greatbuffalo » Fri Jan 10, 2014 11:36 pm

Hey all,

New to this forum. I come here looking for ideas, feedback and advice in building a small Teardrop or some variation on the small camper theme.

My idea is to build a camper on the front end of a 16 - 20 foot trailer leaving the back half to haul motorcycles. The aim is to make this "fairly" easy to swap from a big trailer to a smaller trailer when we are camping without the bikes. My thoughts are to build the structure on skids of sorts and then strap to the trailer of choice. I have a 5X10 foot trailer right now but will look for a bigger trailer closer to spring. I've seen this done with tent campers modifies

A bit about me. I live in South Dakota in the middle of the prairie. My family travel to different area's to ride dual sport motorcycles. I love to camp, into photography and music. I work as nurse at a small rural hospital.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you through the miracle of the web. I am quite active on a few other forums and find this to best way to use the web, information sharing. In my quick peruse around, I think I'm going to enjoy this forum.

Welcome to the forum!!! after reading your intro I would suggest that you really read the build threads and google motorcycle trailers and read and read you may get some ideas. also if you plan to put it on one trailer and then take it off and put on another one you might want to look at foamies weight is always a consideration. Good luck in finding what you want.
