Hello All - Newbie from Latimer, MS

Postby TimothyS » Tue Apr 22, 2014 11:54 am

Hello all - I am in the process of building a teardrop from an old pop up camper frame (7'x8'). So far, I have cleaned and painted the frame, replaced wheel bearings, bought new tires/rims, decked it, applied polyurethane expanding foam to the bottom of the decking, sprayed the underside of the decking/foam with automotive undercoating. I am using the popular mechanics "wild goose" design for inspiration and will be posting pictures of my progress very soon. I do want it to be air conditioned (hidden in the galley area) and welcome all comments/suggestions.

Welcome to the Forum
Sounds like you have a great build underway.
There will be a lot of help available to you here on the Forum.
As for air Conditioning? There has been a lot of discussion to date.
But there does not seem to be the perfect solution for Teardrops????
Or at least I have not yet been able to find it......but there are some threads dedicated to this!
And by all means post pictures as soon as you are able. Forum users LOVE photos! :pictures:

Good luck with your build!

Take a look at the Magnolia Tearjerkers site at tearjerkers.net; you may want to come to a gathering to look at a variety of finished models.

The Louisiana chapter may also have a gathering near you.

Welcome!
