No time to build, so bought one for a starter.

Hi all. I have been a lurker for years, wanting to learn and build a teardrop. I could never find the time to do it. Finally, I decided to buy a used homebuilt so that I could at least get started camping, and learn what I really want when some day in the future I can find the time to build one. Bought a really full-featured tear out of Las Vegas in August, but it is HEAVY. I tow with a v8 Tundra, so that does not matter much for now.

Looking forward to bugging out soon; Grand Canyon is only 75 minutes north!

Welcome JT, you will enjoy the new purchase especially if you are leaving the tent at home. I also bought mine.... I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a Kenskill build when I found one about 90% complete for what I could buy the materials to build one. After a few phone calls and a few more detailed pic's, a buddy and I made a 700 mile road trip to drag it home. I was not disappointed....it was actually superior craftsmanship in my book and would do it all over again............ Good Luck!!

Welcome JT if it where me I would be getting me a site for the Buckskin state Park gathering you will not find a better gathering to meet people and we have a pot luck on Saturday
I think it is the 1st weekend of Dec someone else will have to fill in the dates for you. Last I heard there was 3 site left.

Welcome Jt. I built mine and it is rough and a work in progress, but so comfortable and no more leaking tent, hard ground, etc. Enjoy the freedom!
