Hello my name is Rick and I am from Upstate New York. This is not the first time I have thought about building a teardrop, but now I am ready to go for it and have started to do some research. My plan is to start building next spring, giving me plenty of time to plan. I am not sure exactly which style of teardrop yet, but I am sure I will decide and then change my mind several times before I settle on one. Winters are long in in Upstate New York!
My wife and I have been restoring cars and remodeling houses for over 30 years so I am confident we can handle the build. We will be building it together and I am sure our dog will help, too, in her own way.
I noticed a get together in Watkins Glen, not too far from us. I haven't seen many posts about the get together, but we would love to come down and check out some teardrops and meet some of the New YorkTearJerkers in person. Hopefully there will be a good turnout.

Welcome Rick from a fellow car, jeep, teardrop guy.
