Hello from Woodland, CA

Hello, I have a bare TT frame from a 1959 Aljo basket case that I am thinking about using for a large Tear project and came across this site. Lots of good ideas and info. Currently, I am a Vintage Trailerite, with a rebuilt 16 ft 1963 Shasta Airflyte and a 1970 Suburban TV. Also just picked up a little 1990 Coleman Colorado tent trailer (10' one wing with no galley) that my wife wants to try towing to Women's events (Towgirlz, Sisters, etc). It needs new canvas and cover, and a little customizing.

I picked up the Aljo frame as a basket case trailer and started a rebuild. I only got as far as the demo before I bought the Shasta as a partial rebuild and finished it. It has been just been sitting around but lately I've been thinking of doing a homebuilt. Don't know exactly what yet, but thinking maybe a larger Kampmaster/2+2 hybrid. I like the 5' high 2+2 version but the walkthrough access of the Kampmaster is also interesting. The frame is only 12' so I will need to add a little length for a larger TD. Still in very early stages. Will probably visit the Dam Gathering at Shasta lake next year for more inspiration, but looking forward to learning a lot here.

Welcome to the forum. By all means, come on up to the Shasta Gathering, it's a good one, very laid back and a whole bunch of friendly teardrop and vintage trailer folks.

Welcome! We are in south west Woodland. We have had our Hunter Fat Shadow teardrop for 9 years now. You will really enjoy the Dam Gathering. Wonderful people and lots of great trailers to look at.
