Thinking about building a tear drop trailer, but want something a bit different, thinking kitchen at the back, some sort of roof raising system, to stand for the bathroom, and a little bit of seating,
I am kicking around a several ideas to make it light, coming from a background of homebuilt aircraft, I am considering a fabric covered teardrop, constructed similar to a tube, and fabric airplane, or plywood, with lightening holes, covered in fabric, heat shrunk, and painted with aircraft style. structures are strong, and light. my idea would be longer than normal at 12-16 feet, with a raiseable roof the front 4-6 feet, for a stand up bathroom.
Not only would it be for camping, but I would use it at dog events near the rescue booth, and have a cookout at the same time, or even a day at the park, with an actual bathroom for guest, and friends.
I am thinking a 4 foot tall cabin...
Is any of this unrealistic??
Teardrops are about the only thing my nissan frontier will pull well.
I do pull my airplane on a home built custom trailer, with no issue. probably 1500 pounds total
