New member from up near Yosemite

Hey everybody,

My name's Jake. My wife Nan and I have camped all our lives, and we got into the vintage trailer scene 6 or 7 years ago when our bones started to protest sleeping on the ground. We have a 19' Boles Aero from 1952, which we love, but we wanted to do something closer to real camping. So, a few months ago, we bought a 1945 teardrop. Sight unseen. Not the smartest thing to do, but the price was right.

The guy was in the middle of restoring it, and he slapped together the last few things, so I have some fixing to do before we take it on a six-week trip this summer. I have a lot to learn, and it sure feels like this is the right place.

Glad you're all here. I'll post a few pictures as soon as I can.

Welcome Jake, you are in the right place for all you'll need to know about these little campers. I'm just below you at the bottom of the hill in Waterford, unless you are out the Mariposa side. Good luck with the repairs and keep us posted with lot's of pic's.
