hello from TN

Hi all, I wanted to introduce myself and covey my intentions of my presence.
I am James the Matco tool guy, father, hunter, husband, fix it man, lawn care dude, garbage man, camper, and now a cargo trailer conversion noob.
I recently picked up a 5x8 homesteader challenger. I got it used, with some problems. First the good, new tires, wheel bearings, led lights, wall plywood,
and some white foam inside the walls. Cool good start right? Not so fast. Now the bad, no side door, no roof vent, no side window, and probably the
worst of it all is the back of the trailer leaks like a civ. So step one is stop the water. The most of it was from lose bolts, tail lights and the door that fits
like crap due to some rot. The loose bolts were fixed pretty easy. The tail lights will be switched out to flange mount with sealer instead of the rubber
push in grommets and the door will be re built. Then there is the floor that has been wet for who knows how long and is rotten and buckled will need to
be replaced. After all this is taken care of I will move on to windows, insulation, a man door, roof vent, and some lighting. That's why I am here. I have
never worked on a trailer other than making tail lights work and some wheel bearing stuff. Thanks to all that participate and keep this forum going for
guys like me who are just starting.

Welcome to all the fun and madness of tears and small trailers. I just converted a 5x8 for our daughter and her husband last summer. Hope you have fun with the build. We are in middle Tenn so maybe will see you around sometime

Thanks Bc Toys for the encouraging words. I looked at your photo album, did you make your own side door? If so that is awesome.
